The Power of Static QR Codes

Static QR codes are a type of QR codes that embed the information into the code itself. This type of QR codes cannot be changed or updated after they are created. Static QR codes can be used for simple data types such as URLs, texts, contacts, emails, phone numbers, SMS, and Wi-Fi networks. Static QR codes have many advantages. Some of them are:

  • Static QR codes are faster and easier to create than dynamic QR codes. You only need to enter the information you want and generate the code. You do not need to register or use a server.
  • Static QR codes have less error rate than dynamic QR codes. Static QR codes directly display the information to anyone who scans them. Dynamic QR codes depend on a server that can have problems or interruptions.
  • Static QR codes require less storage space than dynamic QR codes. Static QR codes can store more information into the code itself. Dynamic QR codes can only store a URL into the code.
  • Static QR codes have more data capacity than dynamic QR codes. Static QR codes can store up to 4,296 alphanumeric characters or 7,089 numeric characters. Dynamic QR codes can only store up to 2953 bytes.
